MY TEACHING PRACTICE
Seven years in, I think the best part of a design project is when it takes an unexpected turn and the result is better for it. Curiosity is the center of my practice. I believe that design is a way of paying attention: to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us. I’m working today as a Senior Graphic Designer at Holley Performance Brands and Adjunct Faculty at Nossi College of Art and Design, where that attention stays research-oriented. I have a habit of collecting fragments from everyday observations, like overheard phrases, textures, and unexpected light patterns, recording them in my camera roll and Notes app until, over time, they add up to create a sprawling archive. This repository is less about thinking than it is feeling, as it's built from what I notice in my body before I can explain it. My research explores how systems of information contain embedded meaning, or traces, and how feminist, queer, and interdisciplinary perspectives can reveal and reinterpret them. My teaching practice emphasizes interdisciplinary exploration and process-driven experimentation, so students develop authentic and unique design practices. I earned my MFA in Graphic Design from Otis College of Art and Design in 2026 and BA degrees in Art History and Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia.
